Dr. Marius Mohr

Biography

Since 2019, Dr. Marius Mohr is responsible for the City Lab Kochi (India) within the Morgenstadt Global Cities Initiative (MGI). His expertise lies in urban water management, wastewater treatment, anaerobic processes (biogas, digestion), and water reuse.
Education Marius Mohr has been working at the IGB since 2004. Previously, he studied civil engineering, specializing in urban water management, at the TU Darmstadt. In 2011, he completed his doctorate in the field of anaerobic membrane bioreactor for the treatment of municipal wastewater. In 2013, he took over the water management group, and since 2019 he is heading the Innovation Field of water technologies and resource recovery.
For several years, Mohr has been involved in the cooperation with India in the field of water management and wastewater treatment. Within the Fraunhofer Morgenstadt Network, Marius Mohr led the City Lab in Tbilisi, Georgia in 2015/2016.
