Biography
Dr. Gebhardt holds degrees from the University of Konstanz (Master of Public Administration) and the University of Giessen (PhD in Political Science). She conducted research at the University of Chicago and MIT. She taught innovation research in the Master-Lab format at the University of Heidelberg
Dr. Christiane Gebhardt has been a member and strategic consultant of the Triple Helix Association, which brings together universities, innovative entrepreneurship and politics, since 1992. For twenty years she worked at the Malik Institute in organizational consulting and strategy development for representatives of business, science and government. Her research and work focuses on strategy and organizational development and operations management for managing complex projects through stakeholder-driven innovation. Her clients and partners have included the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education, the Swiss Federal Institute for Research and Innovation, the European Commission, the Helmholtz Association of German Research Institutes as well as many industries and national champions.
She organized the implementation of the sustainable Brainport Smart City in the Netherlands and the SMARTilience Project Mannheim. The latter resulted in a new governance model and a new framework structure for urban climate and resilience with the aim of SDG implementation. Both projects were carried out in close cooperation with the Fraunhofer initiative Morgenstadt: Zukunft der Stadt. She was a member of the Industry 4.0/Smart Service World project team under the leadership of the German Academy of Science and Engineering.
